The class action against Apple for allegedly intentionally slowing down old phones is on its way to a settlement with the company agreeing to pay those affected $25 per iPhone. The proposal has yet to be approved by a federal judge, a process that could still take months. Of course, in the documents, Apple states, “the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing, fault, liability or damage of any kind.”

It’s the social media app nearly every teenager is on but it seems to escape older generations. The Chinese-owned online video service, Tik Tok has experts concerned over privacy issues, to the point where many are recommending deleting the app. It's currently the subject of a U.S. national-security review and a Pentagon ban. But despite concerns, it still managed to be the second most downloaded app in the Google and Apple stores in 2019, trailing only WhatsApp.
