This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. 

Today, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Attorney General will have, at last, an opportunity to respond to the vocal critics who have been defaming him for weeks. 

It’s likely that, when the hearings on his appointment are completed, the American people will appreciate about Sen. Jeff Sessions what his Senate colleagues have long recognized: the Alabaman is an exceptionally decent, honorable and dedicated public servant, whose character and integrity have made him friends and admirers among his political adversaries.

Those qualities will serve the new administration and the nation well in the years ahead as both are sorely tested by internal and external challenges. Mr. Sessions will provide steady, principled leadership. He will faithfully enforce the law. And, as his oath of office requires, he will protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Jeff Sessions will make a great Attorney General.
