Anna discusses the strange desire for "God's Judgment" in the Psalms. While Christians have a mixed reaction to God's judgment, as we find ourselves to be defendants, the Jewish reader of the Old Testament thought of himself as the plaintiff, thus longing for the day that God would make all things right.
Anna challenges the class to think about the concept (or lack thereof) of afterlife, as ancient Jewish people thought about it. Hint: In a lot of ways, they didn't. In this episode, we see more evidence that the book of Psalms displays the written record of man's great desire--his pantings--for God.
