They are taking down an almost 200 year old statue of Jefferson in NY because he was 'racist.'
Beyond being un-historical or at least not the complete story, we are judging a person based on 200 year old cultural difference.

Every country had slavery.
America ended slavery, largely in part to the things Jefferson and others did in their lifetime and beyond.

But this removal signifies something deeper, that is the Cult of Secular Humanism has no room for Grace or Forgiveness.
