Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
While standing on the ancient Greek Acropolis discussing the history and value of Classical Civilization from Plato, Aristotle, through Thomas Aquinas and into the American Founders, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio reminds us that America was and is still a Christian Nation.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Fake Christian, James Talarico, is still pretending to be a moderate, potentially to win the election and even his 'im-pastor' lesbian church leader thinks so.
In other news, the Clancy case is over for now, but what do we learn from this Biblically?
Then we look at some Girl Scout news and finally everyone's favorite Christian University, Baylor.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
This week the Governor of Massachusetts along with a gaggle of clapping swans celebrated a new bill that would legalize the terminating of tiny babies in the womb up til the moment of birth.
This is celebrated by the crowd of those that believe they are the center of the universe, there is no God and they have the right to do whatever they want, whenever they want, with whomever they want. For those of us that follow Jesus and believe that people, however small, are valuable because they are made in the likeness and image of God (Genesis 1) see this as a barbaric return to the days of pagan child sacrifice.
The mother seeking abortion says, my will be done and you give your life for me.
The follower of Jesus says, Thy will be done and I will lay down my life for you.

There could not be a more different worldview.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:

The WNBA has no idea what the W stands for. That is a problem.

Woke is not dead, it just went silent for a minute.

The secular humanist cult of identity is alive and well and coming after norms, values and Christianity. We must be ready.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Faith in AI?
What should our faith be in the latest wave of artificial intelligence?
On the one hand it is becoming more ubiquitous all over every industry.
But is that good. Is this a Jurassic Park thing? - Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

An AI security test was able to break out of a secure environment, hack another company and did this all on its own to beat a challenge. Seems super safe and wonderful to me.

In more related news to ChurchPublic, more and more young people are turning to AI for theology.
Spoiler, the unfiltered AI is NOT a good place to find theological answers.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
While many outlets are still pushing Pride month shenanigans, there is much less than there was a few years ago. We still have some outlets that are egregiously pushing the sexual identity on children, which should be outlawed entirely, but we also have entire state governments pushing back and renaming pride month into much more wholesome ideas.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Last weekend there was a massive, high profile prayer gathering on the National mall in Washington DC which was called "Rededicate 250 - A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving." This was organized as part of the celebration leading up to the nation's 250th anniversary.
The event transformed a section of the National Mall into an expansive, evangelical-style worship service.
The day-long, eight-hour event was organized around three primary "pillars":
1. God's Providence: Reflecting on the role of faith throughout America's 250-year history.
2. Personal Testimonies: Sharing stories of personal and communal healing.
3. Rededication: Coming together in gratitude and asking for God's continued guidance for the next 250 years, specifically framing America as "One Nation Under God."
