This week we actually came prepared to talk about a big topic - unions in tech and in general. We discussed the Kickstarter union oral history podcast from the NYU Engelberg Center (https://eclive.engelberg.center), and a deeper discussion about when a union is good and what it means for tech. Denny also goes into depth about the hidden but different business models between Fedex and UPS, and how organized labor affects their bottom lines. Lastly, we cover briefly tech companies like Instacart firing all of their recently unionized workforce to look more like Fedex's franchise model.

We've been prototyping some offline-first tech for the past week.

Last week we did not post our jelly log, for a variety of reasons which we discuss on this recording. So, we turned our discussion onto the topic of social cooling, how to encourage honesty in science, and the gaps that are still missing in the indie science pipeline today.
