Today's guest on the Born to Be podcast is Jennifer Lee, founder of the Hope for Peanut Maternity Home. Not even 2 years ago, Jennifer's daughter found out she was pregnant and began calling her unborn baby "peanut." In a tragic turn of events, Brittany was killed by the father of her baby. Although Jennifer's story is one of unspeakable pain, she has allowed God to work through her to make a difference for other young, pregnant mothers in the community.
Hope for Peanut is a nonprofit maternity home where they offer services to young mothers, to create successful futures for themselves and their children. They help them to build their inner strength so they can reach their potential as a mother. As their young mothers try to heal from their past, so they can move forward to becoming independent adults and successful parents along the way. They support their residents physically, emotionally, and spiritually in every way. Providing an opportunity for pregnant mothers to chose life by being the support system they need during the pregnancy and following delivery. Providing stability with a safe home, food for nourishment, an environment to focus on being a mother and reinforcing the choice they made to take on the responsibility of being a Mother.
