Jenny has two children, her eldest has a diagnosis of Tourette’s and OCD and her youngest is autistic. Jenny talks about the school resisting supporting her with EHCP’s and how she resents the constant fight to get her children’s needs met and the impact this has had on her own mental health, as well as her children’s.

Joseph was born with Choanal Atresia, a rare condition in which nasal passages are blocked by bone or tissue. Jenny talks about being better equipped to fight for her youngest child after empowering herself with knowledge about SEND law. Jenny explains she wanted to set up Action 4 SEND mainly out of frustration and isolation, both for herself and her child.
