I briefly scratch the surface and talk about something that may be taboo/embarrassing for those involved. Abuse in all it’s forms is NOT okay. As a society many see men as the abusers, but what about women being the abusers/controllers, it happens and it’s REAL. It’s not funny for a man to be abused by a woman he is in a long term committed relationship with. This stigma has many men suffering in silence, not trying to seek help due to humiliation/feeling less than a man. To those being abused men/women please don’t blame yourself, and if you have children please try to escape safely with your children, talk to someone you trust or doctor or follow your instincts. Please don’t give up hope on getting away. There is help out there, you will survive and become stronger. You can heal and be whole again, with professional help. You are loved, you are needed. Bless you all!
