Although, out of yesterday’s trades, only one monetized into the green, I am willing to hold my long Nasdaq position for another day. There was chatter about my colleagues buying the dip, so I felt compelled to join.

Unfortunately, I closed out way too early, looking back at my FX trades, still, made a pretty penny and what did Rothschild say? I always enter the markets too late and I’m out way too early! There you go, still the recipe for success. Initially, I was going to make fun of Doge coin and all the mania going on in markets. But, early this morning, I caught an opportunity, going long across-the-board of the FX markets and although I closed them out with profit, I believe the Euro, Japanese Yen, British pound, have room to run. As for the rest of the markets, let’s watch the airlines for more clarity on the American economy.

After listening to one of my colleagues I did change my direction and went along the market call mom the S&P 500 E-mini contract to be exact, by the time I came back I have participated in almost all of the up-move. I closed out and have to re-iterate sidelines are for me. Looking for the next short opportunity.

After yesterday‘s capitulation of my well publicized short positions, I decided to talk to some of my colleagues just to find out they are as puzzled as I am. Digging deeper into market behavior, human psychology in trading. Remembering my last Goldman Sachs earnings call and the rapid down move of the share price, let’s see and watch for a while. What’s concerning is the many up-closes in markets especially, 13 up closes in a row of the SPY.

Very unwillingly, I had to get myself to capitulate and admit, I was unable to maneuver my positions into the green. I took my losses and even tried a short Bitcoin day trade, that wasn’t successful either, this market reminds me of many beginning of the year trades. Basically, everybody piling in, fear of missing out, same old song, what else is new? Hardest thing right now for me to do, is to sit on my hands and wait for a possible shorting opportunity.

You don’t have to be a genius to understand that something is inherently wrong with the Fed Chairman Jerome Powell feeding the American public statements over 60 minutes on a Sunday night. Michigan is already in high distress over rising Corona numbers, Texas has opened up and could be next. Germany is debating another lock down, anyway, the future is not as bright as the media portrays it to be. Bitcoin, with its declining volume, could certainly approach a double top that is unreachable at this point, I would watch what happens next, get out the popcorn!
