On this week's podcast, we dive into a new series called, "I Love My Church". After a life changing 3 days at Fear Not Conference, Pastor Jeremy Johnson preaches the importance of unity inside of the Church and how that alone can create a paradigm shift. We are reminded throughout this sermon that when you take ownership in the Church, you have authority. God wants to give us a key, and that authority creates major change. Even when things get messy, we can be comforted in the truth that Christ rules the Church. Though it may not make sense in the physical world, having Jesus at the center of it all creates 3 things:
1) Multiplication
2) Paradigm Shifts
3) Empowerment
When we do things together as a Church we can feel God act, speak, heal, and move. Without it, we are only a piece of the body.
Ephesians 1:20
20-23 "All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence."
God is in charge of everything from galaxies to governments. It's about time we start living in His authority over our lives and believe in the major change that can and will happen when we come together as one.
