This Sunday we had another great message from Pastor Jeremy Johnson as part of our ongoing 'Royal' series.
We are worthy and valuable. Romans 3:23 tells us "We have all sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Most of us tend to focus on the "sinned" part of this scripture, but we can also take a look at the "glory" part. God has given us a righteous standing through Christ Jesus. Jesus died AS our sins, not for them, and for the marks we sometimes miss in our Christian walk.
God is trying to restore us to the status we had in the garden of Eden. This is to be the person each of us are called to be before the fall happened in the garden. God can restore our feelings and thoughts about ourselves that the enemy works hard to instill within us. It is impossible to hate ourselves yet, love God. Are you buying into an augmented reality that the enemy has lied to you about? John 8:32 tells us "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
If a prince for example, is put into a slum environment; does that change his royal status?
Has the devil given you a name that makes you feel powerless? Or has something been spoken over your life that causes you to not see yourself the way God does?
Scripture References:
Romans 3:23-24
John 8:32
John 17:22
2 Corinthians 4:4-12
2 Corinthians 5:16
2 Corinthians 5:20
