Captain Jerry Yellin is our guest this episode, a man who flew the final combat mission over Japan during WWII in the P-51 Mustang. Yellin served in the Army Air Forces, and still flies to the this day approaching 94 years old. More recently, he was given the nickname "BAMF" and after you hear his story, we're sure you'll know why.

His story he details in this episode though, is one of redemption, and his enemy becoming his friend. Brandon and Jerry also compare their combat experience in terms of dehumanization of the enemy, and dealing with that when you come back home and into society. The latest book detailing his story with co-author Don Brown is "The Last Fighter Pilot: The True Story of the Final Combat Mission of World War II," and it's available now everywhere books are sold.

Jerry has a list of upcoming events where you can meet this hero at his website, CaptainJerryYellin.com. Check it out, and also be sure to leave a review for the show on Apple Podcasts.
