It's hot in New York city and as the temperatures rise everyone is a little more on edge. Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) continues to contemplate her future and begins to consider more extreme measures to combat her medical condition as she looks at off-grid medical treatments and euthanasia. In the apartment block Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville) needs to keep busy, busy and asks for a bigger slice of action with Alias investigations and Oscar Aracho (J.R. Ramirez) extends an olive branch and a bottle of whiskey after Jessica saves his son, Vido (Kevin Chachon), from falling out of her window. Elsewhere, between court prescribed anger management classes and tabloid intrigue, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) investigate the third patient linked to IGH. As they move from Sally’s wig shop to coercing Maximillian 'Max' Tatum (James McCaffrey) for more general Metro hospital records they identify Inez Green (Leah Gibson) and track her to a derelict building in New York. Jessica and Trish soon realize that Inez is another piece of the puzzle, a nurse at IGH who was terrorised by her patient the impersonator of Dr Hansen (Janet McTeer). As they find out more about IGH and their murderous suspect from Inez little do they realise that their case is being dismantled as Jessica’s case notes are stolen by an unknown burglar. As Jessica and Trish seek to protect their new found witness they come across a bloody scene outside Jessica’s apartment that threatens them all.
