Jesus’ very first miracle is truly a strange one. It is not some miraculous healing, nor some epic showdown with the demonic. It is not calming a storm or raising the dead to life. It is to show up at a wedding and keep the party going by turning water into wine. Of all the things Jesus would have done to first reveal his glory, why this one? The answer is far more beautiful than anything else we would’ve expected.
