Jesus, Dietrich, and Me

We FINALLY close out The Cross of Reality, hitting the 12 main points that author Gaylon Barker points out in Bonhoeffer's theology of the cross. It's a great review of the book, our theology, and the centrality of the cross. It is also a great set up for Letters and Papers from Prison, which we will begin next week.

Dietrich lands himself in prison, causing many people to question his authenticity as a follower of Christ. His "Letters and Papers from Prison" suggest otherwise, however. Dietrich strips Christianity to nothing but the cross of Christ, calling for the Church to be a church for the world. To be otherwise, as he would say, is to deny the Gospel.
