Jesus Habit

It’s easy to forget. We go through some major event, either positive or negative, that at the time feels like it’s going to change everything about our lives. And it does. For a little while. But then, we start to drift back into doing life the way we used to and before we know it, […]

1.6. That’s the latest statistic I’ve heard about what average church attendance is in America. 1.6 times per month. That equates to 19.2 times per year. 19.2 out of 52. If that were a grade, it would be 36%. A “D” is 60%, so, um, yeah, we’re not doing so well.  What do we do […]

Heb 10:23 – 23 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” You might be thinking to yourself, “one verse for today? Yesterday we talked about looking for a better way. But, there’s one more step beyond looking for a better way. The RIGHT way. Many of you will recall, when we first started raising chickens for eggs, the run I constructed was nothing short of a shanty. It was about as ghetto as a chicken run […]

Have you ever said to yourself, Have you ever been doing a project and found yourself saying: “There has got to be a better way to do this!” It’s the feeling I have every time I go to the DMV. “Surely, there is a better way to do this!” Sometimes the better way eludes my […]

Today, we take a deeper look at the things that trigger us and what that might mean for the condition of our hearts?
