The story of salvation does not end at the forgiveness of our sins. It involves an exchange of identities. Jesus takes on our sins, and He gives us His identity as a Son of God. Our old identities become the "old man" and the new man becomes our new identities. Everyday, we get to be like Jesus Christ on Earth, both in deed and in word! Hallelujah!!!

Before Christ found us, it was a struggle to choose "good". One day we could do it, but then the next day, we would fail miserably. But when He made His residence in us, He gave us the power to overcome all the bad choices. No matter how much pressure we feel from society, we are able to stand strong on the truth of the Word of God. We carry His power in us. Victory is ours through Christ who secured it for us. We no longer have to struggle, the journey has been simplified and we can now choose "good" over "bad". How good is our God!!

When we consider purity, none can be found pure in the eyes of the Lord. Our own righteousness is likened to filthy rags before God. To be pure in the eyes of God, is to walk in the righteousness of His Son, Jesus Christ. When we meditate on His Word, and we study it, we begin to be transformed in the image of Jesus. The way of purity is easy when we yield to the Holy Spirit. I invite you today to let go of your own perfectionism and embrace the finished work of the cross! It's an amazing journey to embark on, do not delay in responding to this invitation!

Our lives in Christ are not supposed to be comfortable. We cannot choose to enjoy our worldly life and His life at the same time. A choice has to be made between Him and our old sinful nature. What He offers us, is life eternal and the sinful nature only offers death. As wise children, let us choose the way of Jesus and walk in the narrow path. It will be difficult but it is so worth it! Let go of what is holding you back and focus your eyes on Jesus!

Following Jesus is not about comfort. It requires us to let go of "what was" and take hold of "what is". Our identities are no longer earthly. We are now part of the family of God and He comes first in everything. As Paul said, everything in our lives that was before Jesus is garbage compared to the excellence of knowing Christ. We must be willing to let go, surrender and follow Christ. This is how we will be counted worthy as His disciples.

Jesus taught us that we are in the world but not supposed to look like the world. As believers, there should be a clear difference in our fruit that separates us from non-believers. The family of God has its own principles, and guidelines and we must adhere to it through the Holy Spirit's work in us. We have been called out and set apart! Let's bring glory to our Father in all that we do.

When we profess our Faith, we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord. His Lordship means that He is now our Master and the authority above us. When we yield to His Lordship, He is going to direct our steps and day by day we will be changed and transformed. The end goal is to look like Him and to be conformed to His image. We must dethrone anything else that takes precedence before Him. His desires and His direction must come first in our new identity. Then we will be able to truly say, to live is Christ!

What a marvelous thing to know that God gives us an opportunity to become like Him! Day by Day, as we put to death our earthly nature, His heart begins to manifest in our lives. What was once broken, tarnished, and damaged by the devil becomes a beautiful masterpiece. God is so good!!! He changes our hearts and calls us into fellowship with Him. Today is your day, do not delay to receive this marvelous gift. You have a chance at becoming a new person who radiates the peace, joy, wisdom, love and goodness of God!

The calling to be a saint is not for those who were martyred and earned it through their work in the body of Christ. This call is to every believer that confesses that Jesus is Savior and Lord over their lives. God calls us to be Holy as He is Holy. We do not achieve this through our own efforts, it is done through the work of the Holy Spirit at work within us. As we encounter His Word, He begins to sanctify us through and through so that we truly become blameless and sinless like our Lord Jesus Christ.

When we get saved, we go from glory to glory! It's a journey of forgiveness, transformation and servant hood. At the beginning of our journey, we are like new born babies and infants. We are being fed and being helped by others. As we mature, we grow deeper in the knowledge of God and He transforms us! I pray that you will crave growth and will not stay at the same spiritual level. God wants to take you deeper!
