Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

There are times when change seems impossible. You want to do things differently, but feel hopeless, too stuck, and mired down to see a way out. But, as Pastor Daniel shares in today’s message, there’s always hope when you’re part of the family of God. The Holy Spirit is in you, changing you from the inside out and giving you everything you need to live the abundant life Jesus came to give you. The Spirit is the source of your power and transformation.

It’s hard to walk through the water wearing shoes. They fill up and weigh you down, making you look like the swamp thing with those big, lurching steps. Well, today, Pastor Daniel shares that the same thing can happen in your spiritual life. You can get off track, stuck in the details. He urges you not to get bogged down by trying to fully understand the spiritual details. Instead, you should focus on the things that Jesus thought were most important.

Pastor Daniel and Billy speak today with John Cooper, lead singer of Skillet, and author of the book “Awake and Alive to Truth”. John shares his road to writing this book and how he’s seen the American church deteriorate and confuse messages over the years. He’ll remind you to seek the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable!

When someone does work for you, they give you an invoice, a bill of what you owe them for the work they did. Well, today, Pastor Daniel shares that Jesus handcrafted everything about you- from your physical body to your soul, to your interests and giftings. And His invoice is for all you are. You can serve God with your entire life. You’ll learn that this is living out your faith at street level- giving God everything because you’re part of His kingdom.

You can learn a lot about someone by watching how they move through the world and interact with people. Today, Pastor Daniel shares that you should want to be known as someone whose life is marked by truth and integrity. Just like Jesus, you have the opportunity to love others and stand for truth. Pastor Daniel challenges you to make sure that what you do matches what you say. Let God’s light shine through you as you love those who cross your path.

If you’re honest, you probably want to relax and play more often than you want to work. Well, in today’s study, you’ll look at a story Jesus shared about 2 sons who were asked to work in the family vineyard. Pastor Daniel explains that, like these young men, God is asking you to help Him with the work He’s doing in the world. There’s a lot to be done and time is drawing short. Will you say yes to Jesus and reach out to others with His love and grace?

While we tell kids that there’s no such thing as a dumb question, you’ll see today that people don’t always ask honest ones. As Pastor Daniel points out, sometimes people ask questions when they don’t really want to know the answer. They’re not open to learning or even discussing what you have to say. They’ve already decided what they think and just want to justify what they’re doing. You’ll be challenged to consider if you are asking honest questions.

Everyone wants to make a difference in the world in big and small ways. Well, today, Pastor Daniel shares that one way to do that is to invite people to live life alongside you as you walk with God. Coming together to learn how to follow God with your whole self will make a huge impact, just like it did in Pastor Daniel’s life.

Motives matter. The reasons behind why you do something are important because they have a huge impact on the outcome. In this edition of Jesus is Real Radio, Pastor Daniel shares that people who walk with God should aspire to and be motivated by service. Jesus has done everything for you. So, out of gratitude and love, you can serve Him with your life. And the amazing thing is that when you serve God, others reap the benefits.

Contrary to what our entitlement tells us, you have to put in lots of work to be successful at what you’re doing. Your aspirations for greatness have a cost associated with them. Today on Jesus is Real Radio, Pastor Daniel explains that the same is true in your spiritual life. The disciples thought that Jesus was bringing in this glorious kingdom to earth, but missed that He would give His life for that to be realized. They wanted the glory without the guts.
