Pastor Daniel asks you to consider if the same could be said of you. He explains that you might find that the things that drive you aren’t as important to the Lord. When you’re sick you want to relieve the symptoms that are causing you so much discomfort. But the real issue is the underlying illness that is triggering those symptoms. Today, Pastor Daniel shares that the same is true when it comes to sin in your life. The sin is just a symptom of a deeper heart issue. Because of the life, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus, you have been given freedom from bondage and a new life. This is real blessing.

As you continue looking at the example of Balaam today, Pastor Daniel encourages you to have a teachable spirit. God wants to help you grow and live in a way that will bless your life. And He’ll use lots of different people and circumstances to guide you. Pastor Daniel urges you to be willing to listen and respond to God’s direction.

It’s pretty much a guarantee that you’re going to go through hard times in your life. You may even be in the midst of one right now. Today, Pastor Daniel wants you to know that you aren’t alone in these moments. God is with you no matter how dark of a place you’re in. And He is working. Well, today, Pastor Daniel shares that the king of Moab feels this way as the Israelites are nearing his land. Just as King Balak sought help from the prophet Balaam, you can look to God for help. You’ll learn that if you develop the habit of going to God when things are calmer you won’t be so rocked when things go wrong.
