Jesus knelt down in front of his disciples and chose to perform the duties of the lowest servant. And then he said to do the same things that he has done. Jesus revolutionized leadership with that statement. Instead of jostling for positions of power and authority, those who follow Jesus are to take the lowest position of servanthood. In today's message, Pastor Daniel is going to talk about how we love other people the same way that Jesus loves us.

What is it that our world really needs? It isn't more politicians. It's not more guns. It's not fewer guns. What the world needs is the love of God, poured out in reckless abandon. God put instruments of his love on the earth for just that purpose. You. Me. Anyone who follows Christ. We're all called to pour out his love. But as Pastor Daniel said, it's the most neglected aspect of the Christian life. How will you show the world the love of God today?

Or you can love yourself with the love of God. When you see yourself through the cross, you can love yourself in the way God intended. When we see someone in need we ask a whole lot of other questions, but rarely, if ever, do we put ourselves in their position before deciding what to do. How do you decide whether or not to help people? How do you decide how you're going to help? Jesus told us to love others in the same way that we want to be loved.

Somehow we always think that we know what's good for us better than God does. Have you ever thought that way? When something you prayed for over and over ends with a “no” from the Lord, do you question his wisdom or your own? In today's message, Pastor Daniel is going to open up the word and show us that there's a better way. When you see God for who he truly is, you can trust his decisions will lead to a more holy life.

If you want to know what you really, truly believe about God, take a look at how you treat the people around you. The love you give or don't give others and yourself all depends on the love you experience from God. Maybe you know God loves you, but if you don't believe it, you can't share it. Pastor Daniel is going to dive into your beliefs today and show you how what you believe affects how you live and how you interact with the world.

As you read through 1 Corinthians 13, put your name in for the word “love.” Are you, in fact, patient and kind? Do you avoid envy and boasting? The list goes on. As Pastor Daniel said, we all fall short of truly loving the people around us. But with the Spirit working within you, you can grow in these things every day! Read through the list and ask the Spirit to grow just one of the attributes in the way you interact with the people around you.

Do you have everything going for you? Your job is going great, you've got money saved up in the bank. You drive a nice car. Wear nice clothes. Everything seems to be going your way! But you've still got a haunting, empty feeling inside. In today's message, Pastor Daniel is going to show you how to eliminate that feeling once and for all and it comes through experiencing the Love of God and then sharing that love with the world around you!
