Right after the people are excited and amazed about Jesus for feeding them, they are quick to reject Him. The crowd, like us, is fickle. We can easily pursue and follow God when we get what we want and when things are good. What would it be like to be more like Peter in this example, who, when Jesus asked if the 12 would leave him too, replied: "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life" (John 6:68)
