Jesus presents himself as the sole way to eternal life, which is a life lived in relationship with God. This directly addresses the human fear of death and the search for a lasting purpose.

In a culture that seeks to avoid or deny death, Jesus offers a profound and eternal hope beyond it.

Mark uses the story of a rich young man who comes to ask Jesus a direct question to teach about eternal life. This concept is developed throughout Jesus ministry and in the session we want to develop the radical discipleship Jesus calls his followers into and how the reward of that following is eternal life. 

We'll explore eternal life as a quality of life that doesn't start after death, but starts now and a quality of life solely dependent on Jesus.

We'll also explore how eternal life reflects what we do. Even though good work is not the prerequisite for having eternal life.
