Redemption Bible Church continues its series on the Book of Mark entitled "The Crown and the Cross," led by Greg Huffer this week. We see in Mark 2 that four friends of a paralytic man take him before Jesus and he is healed. The friends of the man demonstrated great faith, overcoming doubt, rejection, and the physical trials to take their friend before Jesus. Jesus however challenges those around to see that the bigger miracle Jesus completed here was cleansing the man of his sins, not enabling him to walk again. All suffering is rooted in man's separation from God, and as Christians we must accept that Jesus is God's only provision to mend this broken relationship. We need to be restored to fellowship with God through Jesus, as God doesn't grant eternal life to everyone.
