Isaiah 49 reveals the very heart of God, — perhaps unlike any other passage. For most if not all people, perhaps everyone — whether a Christian or a non-believer — our biggest problem is that we do not believe that God really loves us. That is what easily leads to a kind of spiritual despondency. But when we feel forgotten or forsaken, our hope and our confidence can be found in remembering who God is, what he's done, and what he's promised to do.
