The 18th century theologian Jonathan Edwards insightfully remarked in one of his sermons that there is an admirable conjunction of diverse excellencies in Jesus Christ. Jesus does indeed bring together in his person and work beautiful attributes that we simply wouldn't expect, but once we see them, they bring us to a place of wonder and worship.
