This month my youngest kid turned 18! Parenting adult kids is a whole different ball game, and I definitely need a lot of wisdom from Jesus! He gave me such a sweet and encouraging nugget of truth, as I begin this new relationship with my grown-up baby girl🥰

There is so much brokenness in the families that should be loving and supportive. This is as real today as it was back in the Old Testament stories of kings. Listen in to hear how God took a little boy from a murderous grandma to a loving priest and completely different life.

When we want to move forward but can’t, God invites us to wait patiently and confidently for Him.

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with several sisters in Christ about what female leadership development might look like in church. We started off by having each woman share her role in church and her God-given gifts. This podcast is the recording of the ensuing vision casting, discussion, and invitation to team up to help our sisters be everything God has created and called them to be. (As a note, my equipment was glitchy, and I could not edit out the interruption. But, on the plus side, all the listeners will feel like they were there😆)

There is a beautiful and incredible thing that happens when we are completely vulnerable and honest with the Lord. He reveals the places in our hearts that are keeping us from Him and leads us through with tender care and life-giving truth. Plans fall apart, people get sick, ER visits are long, and God is there for all of it. The help that God sends is not just theoretical, but it is personal, both for your soul and your practical needs.

Am I doing enough? Am I working hard enough? Am I loving people enough? Am I doing too much? These questions can plague me so often, but these are NOT always helpful questions to ask. Living in this state of uncertainty can tempt us to look around and measure ourselves, and our work, by what others are doing. God’s way is always better!
