Reading through most of the Old Testament, especially the prophets, God can seem vengeful and full of wrath. But if you read the whole story, a very different narrative emerges. Reading through Ezekiel specifically, God showed me a helpful perspective in understanding His character. Tune in!

Holidays are busy. Life is busy. Several weeks ago, my husband and I got to get away and enjoy stillness with the Lord. There were no new revelations, no creative insights, no new charges or instructions. He reminded me to abide in Him. We all need this reminder, so I invite you to tune in and receive His reminder to abide.

The people in this world are scrambling for identity. As children of God, He tells us who we are! That said, sometimes we get it wrong, too. Tune in to hear how we can uncover wrong thinking and how God faithfully brings us into right thinking. Anchored in the identity God gives us, leads to peace and joy with Him!

During one of our breakout sessions, Evelyn Jones (on staff with Ablaze Church at Virginia Tech.) and I talked through discipling younger women. As a younger woman and older woman, we shared on initiating discipleship, the value of listening, and tools for discipleship. On day two of the Women's Leadership Conference, Shirley Ferguson shares her testimony of how she experienced God's love in her cancer NOT in spite of her cancer. So genuine and so powerful, she finishes her story by reciting 1 John which she memorized!! It is clear that God and His word abide in Shirley and she abides in Him. (The recording is a little quiet, so you'll have to turn the volume wayyyy up, but it's worth it!)
