Caesar Rodney's story from "The 56" by Douglas MacKinnon (re the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence) Rodney was a member of the continental Congress and very involved in the independence debate. However, he also had military matters to oversee back home. On the night of July 1, 1776, he received notice that the matter of the vote for Independence had come to a head and his presence was needed there. As soon as he heard this, he went for his horse and rode 80 miles throughout the night and the storm! FWIW, that was the night of the full moon in July 1976! Truly these men lived by their pledge of "our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

This Is The Day! - Encouragement in Jesus Christ!
We bring hope and encouragement, and only because He is real, and He loves you! He died not because we were sinners (although that is true!), but because we were lost daughters and sons! You have value in His eyes! What He wants from us is that we come alone to Him, for fellowship with Him, in submission, so that He can re-make us into the person He created us to be! What a journey! What a life! This isn't a self-help method, it isn't a prosperity gospel, it is Christ in you, the hope of Glory! What a ride! What liberation! Hallelujah!
