Welcome to Jesus, You Take Over!
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a Catholic prayer that seeks God's mercy, especially for sinners and the dying. Revealed to Saint Faustina Kowalska by Jesus in the 1930s, it is prayed using rosary beads and focuses on Christ's passion. The key prayer is: “For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.” It is often prayed at 3:00 PM, the hour of Christ’s death.

This is the day that everything changed. Sorrow gave way to joy, darkness was overcome by light, and death itself was defeated. After the silence of the tomb and the grief of Good Friday… Jesus Christ is risen! 

He is risen indeed, bringing hope, new beginnings, and the promise that light always triumphs over darkness. We reflect on the empty tomb, Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the Risen Christ, and the transforming power of His glorified body. His Resurrection brings victory over fear, sin, and death, and invites all hearts to live in hope, faith, and love.

Today is Good Friday, a day to reflect on Jesus’ ultimate act of love. He suffered, died on the cross, and bore our sins so that we could have eternal life. In this episode, we pause to walk with Him in His sacrifice, His suffering, and His love. Stay with Jesus… and let His love speak to your heart.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, we kneel before Your cross in humility and awe. You who are innocent… chose to suffer for the guilty. You who are perfect… took on our brokenness. Help us to understand the greatness of Your love. Teach us to carry our crosses with trust, to forgive as You forgave, and to love as You have loved us. Draw us closer to Your heart. Amen.

Today’s episode of Jesus, You Take Over reflects on the “15 Secret Tortures of Jesus Christ,” a Catholic devotion based on private revelations given to Sister Mary Magdalene. These meditations invite us to reflect on Christ’s hidden suffering, grow in love for Him, offer reparation for sin, and unite our struggles with His through prayer and trust in God’s grace.

The 15 Secret Tortures of Our Lord Jesus Christ. 1. They fastened My feet with a rope and dragged Me over the stepping stones of the staircase, down into a filthy, nauseating cellar.
 2. They took off My clothing and stung My body with iron joints.
 3. They attached a rope around My body and pulled Me along on the ground, from end to end.
 4. They hanged Me on a wooden piece with a slipknot until I slipped out and fell down. Overwhelmed by this torture, I wept bloody tears.
 5. They tied Me to a post and pierced My body with various arms.
 6. They struck Me with stones and burnt Me with blazing embers and torches.
 7. They pierced Me with awls; sharp spears tore My skin, flesh, and arteries out of My body.
 8. They tied Me to a post and made Me stand, barefoot, on an incandescent metal-sheet.
 9. They crowned Me with an iron crown and wrapped My eyes with the dirtiest possible rags.
 10. They made Me sit on a chair covered with sharp pointed nails, causing deep wounds in My body.
 11. They poured on My wounds liquid lead and resin and, after this torture, they pressed Me on the nailed chair, so that the nails went deeper and deeper into My flesh.
 12. For shame and affliction, they drove needles into the holes of My uprooted beard. Then they tied My hands behind My back and led Me walking out of prison with strikes and blows.
 13. They threw Me upon a cross and attached Me so tightly that I could hardly breathe anymore.
 14. They threw at My head as I lay on the earth, and they stepped on Me, hurting My breast. Then, taking a thorn from My crown, they drove it into My tongue.
 15. They poured into My mouth the most immodest excretions, as they uttered the most infamous expressions about Me. 

Jesus then gave Sister Mary Magdalene the following prayer: My Lord and my God, it is my unchangeable will to honor You in these Fifteen Secret Torments when You shed Your Precious Blood: As many times as there are grains of sand around the seas, as grains of wheat in the fields, as blades of grass in the meadows, as fruit in the orchards, as leaves on the trees, as flowers in the garden, as stars in the sky, as angels in Heaven, as creatures on earth. So many thousands of times may You be glorified, praised and honored, O most love-worthy Lord Jesus Christ—Your Holiest Heart, Your Precious Blood, Your Divine Sacrifice for mankind, the Holiest Sacrament of the Altar, the Most Holy Virgin Mary, the nine glorious choirs of Angels and the Blessed Phalanx of the Saints, from myself and everyone, now and forever, and in the eternal ages. In like manner, I desire, my dear Jesus, to give You thanksgiving, to serve You, to repair and atone for all ignominies, and to offer You my soul and body as Your possessions forever. Likewise, I regret all my sins and beg Your pardon, O my Lord and my God. And I offer You all the merits of Jesus Christ to repair everything, to obtain a happy dying hour and the deliverance of the souls from Purgatory. This prayer I desire to renew at each hour until my death, O lovable Jesus. Sweet Savior, fortify my resolution and permit not that neither wretched men nor Satan destroy it. Amen.

In this episode of Jesus, You Take Over, we enter into the sacred journey of the Way of the Cross as reflected by St. Alphonsus Liguori. A path not just to observe, but to walk with Jesus in love and surrender.

As we move from station to station, we are invited to slow down and truly accompany Him: to see His wounds, to feel the weight of His cross, and to recognize the depth of His sacrifice. This is not only a remembrance of His suffering, but a personal encounter. Jesus does not walk this road alone. He asks us to walk beside Him.

In our own lives, we all carry crosses, burdens, struggles, hidden pains. Through this meditation, we unite those sufferings with His. Every step He takes toward Calvary becomes a step of love for us, and every step we take with Him becomes an offering of trust.

Let us not be distant observers, but faithful companions. Let us place our hearts into His pierced hands and allow His suffering to transform ours. In walking with Jesus, we learn that pain offered in love is never wasted It becomes grace, healing, and redemption.

Jesus, we surrender our crosses to You. Walk with us, as we walk with You.

THE PROMISES MADE BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO THOSE WHO HAVE DEVOTION TO THE WAY OF THE CROSS.

▪︎I promise eternal life to those who pray, from time to time, the Way of the Cross.

▪︎I promise them my greatest graces.

▪︎I will deliver the faithful from purgatory on the first Tuesday or Friday after their death.

▪︎I promise them a special glory in Heaven.

▪︎I will grant them everything they ask through praying the Way of the Cross with faith.

▪︎I will grant them the remission of all their sins, even if they be as scarlet; if they be more than the grains of sand on the seashore and the stars in the heavens, all of them will be erased by the Way of the Cross.

▪︎I will preserve them from sudden death.

▪︎I promise them my special protection; my hands will always be open to protect them.

▪︎I will bless them at each Way of the Cross and my blessing will follow them everywhere on earth, and after their death, in Heaven for all eternity.

▪︎They will be assured of being joined to the Supreme Choir Of Angels.

▪︎I will give them the grace never again to commit a mortal sin for I will give them the grace never again to separate themselves from me.

▪︎I will lift all power from the devil at the hour of death that they may repose tranquilly in my arms

▪︎I will make of each one of them a living ciborium in which it will please me to pour my graces

▪︎I will give them a special drought from the fountain of My Deity.

▪︎As I am nailed to the cross, so also will I always be with those who honour me in making the Way Of The Cross frequently

PRAYER

O Jesus, my adorable saviour, I seek Your forgiveness and mercy for myself and for my loved ones, for those hardened by sin, and all the faithful departed.  Wash away my sins and those of the whole world through the infinite merits of Your Passion.  Give me the grace to enter more deeply into the mystery of Your Cross, so that sharing in Your suffering and death, I may experience a deep sorrow for my sins and be ready to embrace willingly, even with joy, all the sufferings and humiliations of this life and pilgrimage.  Amen

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
