In Philippians 1:21 KJV, when Paul says

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain," he is making a directional call to everyone who would pay heed. "To live is Christ and to die is gain!" How profound and yet straightforward, too. Jesus is your maker and mine (John 1:3). You and I were made for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11). He is an ask away: "Lord Jesus, I hereby acknowledge that you are the way, the truth, and the life. You died to deal with my sin of rebellion against God, and you rose and are alive forevermore to assure me of life eternal. I receive you now as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you that I am born anew by faith. Your Holy Spirit resides in me now to help me to be more and more like you. Amen!
