‘Endurance’: Based on the description "to stand under and get behind," the Greek word that best fits is hupotassō (or hypotasso, ὑποτάσσω).

Here is the breakdown of the word:

Hupo (ὑπό): A prefix meaning "under" or "beneath".

Tassō (τάσσω): A verb meaning "to arrange, set in order, or assign".

Key Aspects of Hupotassō:

Military Origin: It was used to describe soldiers arranging themselves in formation under a leader.

Meaning: It signifies a willing, voluntary "getting behind" (submitting to) an authority, rather than just forced obedience. It often means to voluntarily submit or put oneself under the authority of another.

Related Concept - Endurance: If the intent is "to remain/stand under" a heavy load or trial, the term hupomenō (ὑπομένω, "endure/remain under") is also used.

Other related words for context:

Hupostasis (ὑπόστασις): "To stand under" in the sense of a foundation, substance, or assurance.
