J.E.T Set Pod

In this episode, we are joined by our friend Roger from the Australia - A current JET in one of the most talked about places for JET - Tokyo!

We talk about his background, and his (and Andrew's) experiences with early departure.

We also talk a lot about the Tokyo JET situation, and hopefully can shine some light on a few things that people that are thinking about Tokyo as a prefence want to know.

In this episode, we are joined by Steph from the U.S. - A current JET in one of the most inaka places in Akita Prefecture.

We talk about her background, and her (and more of our) experiences with the interview process. We also talk a little about omiyage.

However the main topic of the pod is Culture shock, and the differences we've experienced and weren't prepared for, both in coming to Japan, and in visiting our home countries over the winter break!

This episode, Andrew and Isabel talk about getting set up when you move into a new apartment, both when you arrive and if you ever have to move in Japan as a JET!

Welcome back to the J.E.T Set Pod. For Episode 3, we have one of our friends from New Zealand join us to talk about the interview process that we all went through, as well as the differences between them.

Welcome back to the J.E.T Set Pod. Episode 2 is all about the application process of JET. We intended to talk about the Statement of Purpose (SOP) as well, but we ran out of time. We will get to that in the next episode. Let's hope you all your application questions are covered!

The first episode of the J.E.T Set Pod introduces us to it's hosts Andrew and Isabel, and gives us an introduction to the reasons for them applying for and ultimately working for the JET Programme. It also sets the future for the upcoming episodes of the podcast, and what you can expect to hear and learn!
