Jet Stream of Consciousness

I discuss the history of my discovery and subsequent love of beer. From my humble small town beginnings of Budweiser and Coors all the way up to my present day passion for craft beer, I tell all about how I came to love the suds. I also share a humerous story about an unfortunate incident with a locked car during a chase many years ago.

I discuss the differences between the people who make their own forecasts and the ones who simply follow SPC outlook maps. I talk about the new chaser philiosophy of simply reacting to a given bit of data or changes in said data, and compare that to the weather enthusiast who relies too heavily on radar interpretation when making declerations of severe weather in progress. A teachable moment.

Health and medical experts have been pleading with Americans to not have large gatherings for Thanksgiving fearing the inevitable firestorm spread of COVID-19 that will be created. However, many people have made the choice to put their selfish personal wants and desires ahead of the overall health and wellness of the country they claim to love so much. I call them out for the hypocrites they are.

Then I tear into myself for my own stupidity and selfishness as a stormchaser over the years past when I started to believe my own hype and became an entitled jerk. However in my case, I realized what a moron I was being and eventually figured it out.

In this episode I discuss the often-forgotten importance of the role meals play on a chase. You have to be quick, you have to decide what everyone can agree on and stomach, and you have to make sure none of those decisions come back to haunt you later LOL.

I discuss the lack of interest I had in trick-or-treating as a child, the No Nut November phenomenon and the pros and cons of core punching VS hook slicing.

I address the very sad tragedy of Abigail Reagan Cooley, a 4-year-old child who was gravely injured in a rear-end accident caused by a distracted driver. I also join in on the campaign of heightened awareness against texting and driving.

I discuss the extra benefits of being a storm chaser, which include all the amazing towns, landmarks and attractions chasers get to see as they roam the Great Plains looking for storms and tornadoes.

I also lament about a not-so-reliable ride service that I've had multiple bad experiences with.

In this episode, I reveal some of the strange things my boss and I do at work to help pass the time. I also give my hot take on the whole Home Owner's Association mentality, and share a story from a friend of karma from the HOA world. Lastly, I give a riveting review of my experience using Dr. Squatch soap for men.

In this episode I tackle the very sensitive topics of diversity and the negative treatment of women in the stormchasing community. There's been much chatter in recent weeks about both the lack of diversity and how some male chasers treat female chasers in the chasing world. After seeing example after example I finally share my thoughts on both subjects.
