This is a powerful and fearsome snake. I have always been afraid of these animals, but I also consider them to be beautiful. Plus their way of hunting and surviving is certainly admirable. So when I saw this beautiful card I knew I had to make it. I must also confess that it was quite a challenge to express it through origami, but the result has left me very satisfied.

For this figure we won't use a perfect square, but rather we will start with a legal sheet.



This we will divide it in two parts, with one we will make the head and the neck and with the other the rest of the snake's body up to the tail.




We will start bending with a lot of concentration. In the video is every detail of the folds, so you can follow each step and get your own paper snake.




It is fascinating how much we can do with just a sheet of paper and our hands. The human species has an infinite capacity to create. I loved this figure from beginning to end and the result is very satisfactory. Esta es una poderosa y temible serpiente. Siempre les he tenido miedo a estos animales, pero también considero que son preciosos. Además su forma de cazar y sobrevivir sin duda es admirable. Así que cuando vi esta hermosa carta supe que debía hacerla. También debo confesar que fue todo un desafío expresarla a través de origami, pero el resultado me ha dejado muy satisfecha.

Para esta figura no utilizaremos un cuadrado perfecto, más bien iniciaremos con una hoja tipo oficio,



Esta la dividiremos en dos partes, con una haremos la cabeza y el cuello y con la otra el resto del cuerpo de la serpiente hasta la cola.




Empezaremos a dobla con mucha concentración. En el video esta cada detalle de los dobleces, para que puedan seguir cada pasó y obtener su propia serpiente de papel.




Es fascinante todo lo que podemos hacer con la solo una hoja de papel y nuestras manos. La especie humana tiene una capacidad de crear que es infinita. Esta figura me encanto de principio a fin y el resultado es muy satisfactorio. Porque la serpiente es bastante realista y creo que representa muy bien a [URAEUS](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/351/regular/3?tab=lore)

**Conociendo el grandioso proyecto de Holozing // Fan Art de Miu + Delegación (Ingles/Español)**


Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive. Me da mucho gusto estar con ustedes integrándome a este nuevo proyecto: Holozing. Últimamente todos hablan de esto así que pensé en formar parte de esta porque se ve que es algo grande y bueno. Además que el desarrollo de los personajes me ha encantado, todos son adorables. Aún tengo muchas dudas pero estoy segura de que iré aclarándolas con el tiempo.

Por ahora me he animado a apoyar este asombroso proyecto con una delegación. A continuación les mostrare lo sencillo que es, yo lo hice desde mi teléfono y es realmente rápido. Lo primero que aremos será entran al link de Holozing. Después desplegaremos el menú del lado superior izquierdo y entraremos en la opción REWARDS.

He utilizado una cartulina gris y un marcador azul. Con tan pocos materiales hice mi propia versión de Miu.



Está muy fácil de hacer así que les invito a realizarla conmigo. En el video les he dejado más detalles de cómo hacerlo.

Realizar esta figura fue muy especial para mí, pero al final cuando vi las alas de mi dragón abrirse sin duda fue liberador, como el propio vuelo de los dragones.

It is an electric cotufera, the cotufas or popcorn as you call them in other countries, are one of my favorite snacks, but I always find it very annoying to make them, because although it seems silly it takes time, oil or butter and when they are made on the stove most of the time the cotufas burn at the bottom of the pot.

Well, a few days ago I went to the DAKA store in the city, they had many offers and I took the opportunity to buy the cotufera I wanted so much. The one they had available was Bremen brand, I did not know this brand and although I searched on Google I did not find much information. The guy at the store recommended it to me a lot, but I don't trust so much in the sales consultants because their purpose is to sell at all costs. But this time I had to make a decision, the cotufera had a cost of only 15$ and they were close to sell out, so I decided to take a chance.


Tiendas DAKA is the only authorized distributor of this brand in the whole country, so I noticed a lot of Bremen brand products. Someone in the store told me that some time ago he had a little everything of this brand and it had turned out very good, this ended up convincing me. So I left the store very happy with my cotufera and went home. As soon as I arrived I opened the box and prepared my first cotufas.


When I opened the box what I found were three plastic pieces, one red and two clear. The red one which is the largest is the one that holds the motor and the aluminum container where the corn is deposited and turned into cotufas. The two transparent pieces are the measuring cup and a lid that serves as an elbow to direct the course of the popcorn that is expelled from the machine. Everything is assembled and together does not reach 30 cm in height, a convenient size for loading and storing.





You can make about 10 cups and this is really a lot, as I made two cups and it was an amazing amount, because of what I mentioned earlier about all the corn being used. And it literally took no more than 2 minutes to turn the two cups of corn into a delicious bowl of cotufas. Great for such a small machine.


What I love about this type of cotuferas is that they work with hot air, because the corn is not burned and every last bit of corn is used, nothing is wasted. Another great advantage is that it does not require oil or any other type of fat to cook the corn. So it offers us much healthier cotufas than those prepared in the kitchen.

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me da mucho gusto estar nuevamente en esta grandiosa comunidad compartiéndoles una compra que hice recientemente. De un electrodoméstico que quería desde hace mucho tiempo para facilitar un poco la dinámica en la cocina.


Se trata de una cotufera eléctrica, las cotufas o palomitas de maíz como las llamas en otros países, son una de mis botanas favoritas, pero siempre me resulta muy fastidioso hacerlas, porque aunque parece una tontería toman tiempo, aceite o mantequilla y cuando se hacen en la cocina la mayoría de las veces se queman las cotufas del fondo de la olla.

Pues bien hace unos días fue a la tienda DAKA en la ciudad, tenían muchas ofertas y aproveche de comprar la cotufera que tanto quería. La que tenían disponible era marca Bremen, no conocía esta marca y aunque la busque en Google tampoco halle mucha información. El muchacho de la tienda me la recomendó mucho, pero no suelos confiar tanto en los asesores de venta ya que su propósito es vender a toda costa. Pero esta vez tenía que tomar una decisión, la cotufera tenía un costo de tan solo 15$ y estaban cerca de agotarse, así que decidí arriesgarme.


Tiendas DAKA es la única autorizada en distribuir esta marca en todo el país, así que note muchos productos marca Bremen. Alguien en la tienda me dijo que hace tiempo tenía un poca todo de esta marca y le había salido muy bueno, esto termino de convencerme. Así que salí de la tienda muy contenta con mi cotufera y fui a casa. Recién llegue me anime a abrir la caja y prepara mis primeras cotufas.


Al abrir la caja lo que encontré fueron tres piezas plásticas, una roja y dos transparentes. La roja que es la más grande es la que guarda el motor y el contenedor de aluminio donde se deposita el maíz y se convierte en cotufas. Las dos piezas transparentes son la taza de medidas y una tapa que funge de codo para dirigir el rumbo de las cotufas que van saliendo expulsadas de la máquina. Todo se arma y junto no llega a los 30 cm de altura, un tamaño cómodo para cargar y almacenar.





Se pueden preparar unas 10 tazas y esto es realmente mucho, ya que yo prepare dos tazas y fue una cantidad asombrosa, por lo que mencioné anteriormente de que se aprovecha todo el maíz. Y literalmente no tardó más de 2 minutos en convertir las dos tazas de maíz en un delicioso bol de cotufas. Algo grandioso para tratarse de una maquina tan pequeña.


Lo que adoro de este tipo de cotuferas es que trabajan con aire caliente, porque el maíz no se quema y se aprovecha hasta el último de ellos, no se desperdicia nada. Otra de las grandes ventajas es que no requiere aceite ni otro tipo de grasa para cocinar el maíz. Por lo que nos ofrece unas cotufas mucho más saludables que las que se preparan en la cocina.

This time I want to bring you a beautiful chest made of origami. As it is well expressed in the basic characteristics of origami, we do not need scissors or glue. The figure assembles itself, supported by its good structure, for this we need to make folds and a precise assembly. What I enjoy the most about this figure is that although it looks complex it is really easy, because we only need to learn how to fold a piece and we will do it 16 times. Then we only need to understand the assembly.

The first thing we will do is to get 16 squares of paper of the same size. In my case they are all 10 cm by 10 cm. For this I used the paper of an old magazine, since it was in German and as I do not understand the language and nobody I know knows it, I wanted to recycle the paper, as it is warm and with very impressive black and white shades. The good thing about origami is that it also allows us to give a second use to the paper.



We will take one of the squares of paper and mark the guide lines. For this we will join the ends and fold the square in a rectangular and triangular shape by rotating the ends. Until when we open it we can see lines in the form of an asterisk.



Next we will bring the four points of the square to the middle point, which will be marked by the asterisk we made.



Next we will open two of the ends, this folding and unfolding is very common in origami, since some folds are made with the purpose of marking a line that will serve as a guide for another fold. In this case we will take one of the ends that we unfolded to the guide line that was marked with the opposite end. And we will also fold one of the sides making it coincide with the edge of the triangle that was formed in the center.


Finally we will fold the figure in half, that line is also marked along the figure. When we mark well the guide lines the figure assembles itself. This implies not to omit any line, but not to make extra lines either.


Our figure is ready, now we will do the same with the other 15 squares. When we have our 16 folded figures we will assemble, this part can be better appreciated in the video I made for you, where you will find more detailed folds and assembly.



I hope you enjoy making this figure, it is beautiful and functional, it has been very useful for me to organize my work materials or to give gifts. It can be made in smaller or much larger sizes, I have used this chest in all possible sizes. Its structure is very resistant so it even supports heavy things. As I said it is a marvel.

**Hermoso cofre de 16 piezas de papel // Origami // DIYHUB Origami Contest (Ingles/Español)**


Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, es todo un placer para mí estar en la grandiosa comunidad [DIYHub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-189641/created) participando en el concurso propuesto para la celebración del día mundial del origami. Confieso que he disfrutado mucho de esta celebración, porque sé que el origami le resulta complejo a algunas personas y por eso no es tan popular como debería, pero este concurso ha abierto el espacio para que muchas personas expresen sus habilidades doblando papel, así como otras que están incursionando y descubriendo la belleza de este hermoso arte.

En esta ocasión quiero traerles un hermoso cofre hecho de origami. Como bien lo expresa las características básicas del origami no necesitaremos tijeras, ni pega. La figura se arma sola, apoyada en su buena estructura, para esto necesitamos hacer dobleces y un ensamblado preciso. Lo que más disfruto de esta figura que aunque se ve compleja es realmente fácil, pues solo necesitaremos aprender a doblar una pieza y esa misma la haremos 16 veces. Después solo nos quedara comprender el ensamblado.

Lo primero que haremos será conseguir 16 cuadrados de papel del mismo tamaño. En mi caso todos son de 10 cm por 10 cm. Para esto utilicé el papel de una vieja revista, ya que estaba en alemán y como no entiendo el idioma y nadie que conozco lo conoce quise reciclar el papel, ya que es de cálida y con unos matices de blanco y negro muy imponentes. Lo bueno del origami es que también nos permite darle un segundo uso al papel.



Tomaremos uno de los cuadros de papel y marcaremos las líneas guías. Para esto uniremos las puntas y doblaremos el cuadrado en forma rectangular y triangular rotando las puntas. Hasta que cuando lo abramos se aprecien líneas en forma de un asterisco.



Enseguida llevaremos las cuatro puntas del cuadrado hasta el punto media, que será marcado por el asterisco que hicimos.



A continuación abriremos dos de las puntas, este doblar y desdoblar es muy común en el origami, ya que algunos dobleces se hacen con la finalidad de marcar una línea que servirá de guía para otro dobles. En este caso llevaremos una de las puntas que desdoblamos hasta la línea guía que se marcó con la del extremo contrario. Y también doblaremos uno de los laterales haciéndole coincidir con el borde del triángulo que se formó en el centro.


Por ultimo doblaremos la figura a la mitad, esa línea también está marcada a lo largo de la figura. Cuando marcamos bien las líneas guías la figura se arma sola. Esto implica no omitir ninguna línea, pero tampoco hacer líneas de más.


Ya está lista nuestra figura, ahora haremos lo mismo con los otros 15 cuadrados. Cuando tengamos nuestras 16 figuras dobladas nos dispondremos a ensamblar, esta parte podrán apreciarla mejor en el video que hice para ustedes, donde encontraran más detallado los dobleces y el ensamble.



Espero disfruten de realizar esta figura, es hermosa y funcional, a mí me ha servido mucho para organizar mis materiales de trabajo o para der obsequios. Se puede hacer de tamaño más pequeño o mucho más grande, yo he aprovechado este cofre en todos los tamaños posibles. Su estructura es muy resistente así que soporta incluso cosas pesadas. Como les dije es ina maravilla.

A loving greeting to all my Hive friends I am pleased to be once again in this beautiful community [DIYHub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-189641/created) where we continue celebrating the world origami day and I have come with another of my origami representations on [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-267) cards.

This time I chose the card [VAMPIRE BAT](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/451/regular/3?tab=lore) I loved it because its story is dramatic and deep. A love story that ended in loss, blood and a curse that would last forever. No doubt very inspiring, that's why I wanted to bring you my own [VAMPIRE BAT](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/451/regular/3?tab=lore) made through the beautiful art of paper folding.

We won't need many materials, we only need a square cardboard, in my case and to fit the Splinterlands card I chose black. In the video you can see each of the steps to obtain this beautiful paper figure. The process is simple, although as in all origami figures is important to pay close attention and make the folds very accurately.




For those who are starting in origami I always advise to have clean and dry hands, paper and water are a bad combination. The table or space where you work should also be clean, because paper tends to get dirty very quickly. If your hands sweat a lot, have a cloth nearby to dry them, because the sweat moistens the paper, makes it more flexible and makes the process more difficult, besides you run the risk of tearing it.

**Fan art DIY de Splinterlands // VAMPIRE BAT (Ingles/Español)**


Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive me complace estar una vez más en esta hermosa comunidad [DIYHub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-189641/created) donde seguimos celebrando el día mundial del origami y he venido con otra de mis representaciones en origami sobre las cartas de [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-267).

Esta vez escogí la carta [VAMPIRE BAT](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/451/regular/3?tab=lore) me encanto porque su historia es dramática y profunda. Una historia de amor que termino en pérdida, sangre y una maldición que duraría para siempre. Sin duda muy inspirador, por eso he querido traerles mi propio [VAMPIRE BAT](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/451/regular/3?tab=lore) hecho a través del hermoso arte de doblar papel.

No necesitaremos muchos materiales, tan solo necesitamos una cartulina cuadrada, en mi casi y para ajustarme a la carta de Splinterlands escogí el color negro. En el video podrán ver cada uno de los pasos para obtener esta hermosa figura de papel. El proceso es sencillo, aunque como en todas las figuras de origami es importante prestar mucha atención y hacer los dobleces con mucha precisión.




A quienes están iniciando en el origami siempre les aconsejo tener las manos limpias y secas, el papel y el agua son mala combinación. La mesa o espacio donde trabajes también debe estar limpia, pues el papel tiende a ensuciarse muy rápido. Si te sudan mucho las manos ten un paño cerca para secarte, púes el sudor humedece el papel, lo hace más flexible y dificultara el proceso, además de que corres el riesgo de que se rompa.




Espero se animen a hacer esta hermosa figura, yo disfrute mucho haciéndola y el resultado es adorable. Me despido por ahora, si tiene alguna duda estoy atenta en los comentarios. I know that this month [DIYHub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-189641/created) celebrates World Origami Day and that makes me very excited.

Last week I couldn't be in the [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-266) contest because I stayed in town far away from home for some medical tests, but here I am and this time I bring the [HAUNTED SPIDER](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/46/regular/0?tab=lore) letter represented through the wonderful art of origami.



Unlike the figures that I have brought previously, this one is made up of two assembled pieces. I love this kind of figures, because they are a little complex, but they achieve a much more accurate result, the 3D figure and with a lot of personality. [HAUNTED SPIDER](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/46/regular/0?tab=lore) is a dark and dangerous spider, that's why I chose the black color to represent it.

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, es un placer para mí estar en esta hermosa comunidad de creadores y artesanos, trayendo uno de mis trabajos de origami para el concurso de [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-266). Sé que este mes [DIYHub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-189641/created) celebra el día mundial del origami y eso me emociona mucho.

La semana pasada no pude estar en el concurso de [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-266) porque me quede en la ciudad lejos de casa para hacerme unos estudios médicos, pero acá estoy y esta vez traigo la carta [HAUNTED SPIDER](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/46/regular/0?tab=lore) representada a través del maravilloso arte del origami.



A diferencia de las figuras que he traído anteriormente, esta está conformada por dos piezas ensambladas. Este tipo de figuras me encantan, porque son un poco complejas, pero logran un resultado mucho más exacto, la figura 3D y con mucha personalidad. [HAUNTED SPIDER](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/46/regular/0?tab=lore) es una araña oscura y peligrosa por eso escogí el color negro para representarla.



Tan solo necesité dos cartulinas negras cuadradas, en el video verán cada detalle del proceso y podrán seguir los pasos para que logren tener su propia [HAUNTED SPIDER](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/46/regular/0?tab=lore). Espero les guste este trabajo que he hecho con mucho cariño. Como siempre lo digo, el origami es un arte maravilloso a mí me relaja mucho y en las últimas semanas que he estado de reposo me ha ayudado a mantener mi meditación activa disfrutando con estas creaciones.

Love greetings to all my Hive friends, I'm glad to be once again participating in the great [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-264) contest with one of my DIY origami fan art. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.




The card I chose for this week is [CELESTIAL HARPY](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/414/regular/7) is powerful and imposing and for me it had a very special meaning, because although harpies are practitioners of peace, when it comes to defend themselves from ill-intentioned beings they can be very fierce. With this I identified deeply, I have always believed in peace as a fundamental value, but I do not hesitate to defend myself and the people I love. This teamwork of the celestial clan seems to me to be worthy of replication.



To make this beautiful paper figure I only needed a white sheet of paper and a blue marker for the details. I love the millenary art of origami because practically everything can be represented through paper, folding with a lot of attention and love.

In the video you will see every detail of the process and I am sure that with a little effort anyone can make this figure. I hope you are encouraged to do it.

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me alegra estar una vez más participando en el grandioso concurso de [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-264) con uno de mis DIY fan art en origami. Espero que lo disfruten tanto como yo disfrute creándolo.




La carta que escogí para esta semana es [CELESTIAL HARPY](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/414/regular/7) es poderosa e imponente y para mi tuvo un significado muy especial, pues a pesar de que las harpías son practicantes de la paz, a la hora de defenderse de los seres mal intencionados pueden ser muy feroces. Con esto me identifique profundamente, siempre he creído en la paz como un valor fundamental, pero no dudo en defenderme y defender a la gente que amo. Este trabajo en equipo del clan celestial me parece que es digno de replicar.



Para realizar esta hermosa figura de papel tan solo necesite una hoja blanca y un marcador azul para los detalles. Adoro el milenario arte del origami porque prácticamente todo puede representarse a través del papel, doblando con mucha atención y amor.

En el video verán cada detalle del proceso y estoy segura de que con un poco de esfuerzo cualquiera puede hacer esta figura. Espero se animen a hacerlo.



También disfrute, como siempre, sacar las fotos resaltando el color azul que es el del plumaje de las harpías celestiales. Por ahora me despido y les dejo mi trabajo que he hecho con mucho cariño. Hasta pronto queridos amigos.

For some it represents the greatest fear, for others it inspires respect and devotion. In some cultures it marks the end of life and in others a new beginning.

Se trata de [DEATH ELEMENTAL](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/141/regular/4?tab=lore) para mi esta imagen es aterradora y profunda, la muerte tiene tantos significados dependiendo de cada cultura que solo la palabra muerte ya ocupa un espacio en el imaginario universal. Para algunos representa el mayor temor, para otros inspira respeto y devoción. En algunas culturas marca el final de la vida y en otras un nuevo comienzo.

Así mismo la carta nos cuenta un significado profundo y un poder inigualable, oscuro y misterioso. Por esa razón me sentí especialmente atraída por ella y aquí se las presento, tan solo necesite un cuadrado de cartulina negra y dobleces hicieron como siempre su magia.




En el vídeo podrán ver detalladamente el proceso, como siempre me apasiona mostrarles paso a paso del arte de doblar papel. Me encanta formar parte de este compartir creativo y cada día conocer un poco más sobre las cartas y sus asombrosos personajes.

I loved being able to represent this letter through my favorite artistic expression which is origami. I only needed a square of black cardboard to make this beautiful paper figure. Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me da mucho gusto estar una vez más explorando en el asombroso mundo de [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/?p=about-player) a través del arte. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un DIY fan art de la carta [GIANT SCORPION](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/137/regular/4).


Este personaje me pareció fascinante por el misterio que esconde su escandaloso tamaño. Los escorpiones siempre me han parecido unos animales asombrosos e imponentes, también temibles; imagino unos de tamaño gigante y se me pone la piel de gallina.


Me encanto poder representar esta carta a través de mi expresión artística favorita que es el origami. Tan solo necesite un cuadrado de cartulina negra para realizar esta hermosa figura de papel. Podrán seguir el proceso con el video y crear su propio escorpión gigante, ya que es una figura muy fácil de hacer.





También me tomé el tiempo para hacer un breve Stop motion con mi escorpión, espero lo disfruten. Hasta pronto.
