Rabbi Willig is the Rabbi Dr. Sol Roth Professor of Talmud and Contemporary Halachah at YU's RIETS program. He has been a Rosh Yeshiva at the Mazer School of Talmudic Studies since 1973 and a Rosh Kollel at RIETS. Rabbi Dr. Apfel is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist at Columbia University medical center and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Shvilei Chayim. In this recording, we begin to address the details of practicing medicine on Shabbos in a hospital setting.

We previously discussed treating in-patients who tend to have largely life-threatening illnesses on Shabbos, now we diverge to discuss the halachic recommendations associated with patients who are not critically ill but are still in severe pain.
