Wikipedia defines a midlife crisis as "a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged individuals, typically 45 to 65 years old." Neither of us hit the age range that they thing it should occur but we still talk around the topic and don't really come to any conclusions. If that's the sort of thing you are interested in then tune in and listen up.

Barb went to Fantastic Fest for a dizzying number of days to watch a dizzying quantity of movies. Her biggest take away is that she's not as afraid of Horror movies as she thought she was so Jim digs deep into her psyche to try and figure out why if she likes some horror movies that she has let so much past emotional baggage get in the way of enjoying classic films. Jim also gives Barb some homework, and Barb doesn't like homework.

We knew that after recording our episode on Family Vacations that our parents would want to give their input on the stories that we attempted to tell so Barb went on location to record their live responses. People tell you to never go into show business with pets or kids but they never warn you against doing things with your own parents. What happens when Jim is in charge of editing and publishing an episode of the Podcast instead of Barb? Well it comes out pretty quickly after recording that's for sure. Barb started to wade into the murky waters of watching The Bachelor so we talk about why she made the choice and what lies ahead for her in this life changing decision. Nothing makes memories like smashing your family into a mini van and driving across several states to go see some old rocks or whatever. This week we challenge each other to remember some specific memories and also welcome our Niece and Nephew to share some of their memories as well. Mostly we agree that human memory is fallible and mostly what we think we remember is the stories about the trips that our parents repeated.
