Jim Bakker is a television minister who has been around since the year of 1974. Due to scandals in his ministry and an alleged rape of a ministry secretary, he spent time in prison and also went through a divorce. Years later, Mr. Baker is out of prison and back on the airwaves. His technique of selling miracles, products and snake oils has changed very little since his heyday. Like many other religious leaders and television personalities, these individuals sell a spurious version of God to an unknowing public.
