God's Law 34: Cross-Dressing

Deuteronomy (Deut. 22:5): A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Wearing clothes that reflect the opposite of someone’s sex - “is an abomination to the Lord your God.” However, in God’s Law there are no penalties to carry out against a person who cross-dresses. But if God’s abominates cross-dressing...

What about Homosexuality...

What about Adultery...

What about Fornication...

God’s People Today - Israel or Gentiles

It is no longer the nation of rebellious Israel that are God’s people but rather the believing Gentiles and only a remnant of believing Jews...

So it is not through predestination or election that any person has life but only "through faith" and "from start to finish by faith!"

This chapter does not address what God desires for individuals. Numerous other passages address what God desires for individuals in personal salvation...

But in Exodus the Scripture reads that “Pharaoh hardened His heart” 7 times before it says that God specifically hardened Pharaoh’s heart (Ex. 9:12) to finish demonstrating all God’s power and glory...

This news was shocking to Jews. For the first time in over 2000 years God had now broken out of Israel - now Gentiles can be God’s people!

When Jesus started His church at Pentecost, Peter proclaimed this for the first (Acts 2:17, 21)...

God's Law 33: The Law Of Love

God’s Law is unique unlike any other laws in the world - it is a Law of caring for others and a Law of LOVE!

Man’s laws are ONLY punitive or oppressive and often unjust. God’s Law is not only JUST - it is the ONLY Law in the world that commands to LOVE and HOW to love!

Jesus and the Apostle Paul summarize it in one word - “LOVE!” They said....

God's Law 32: Death Penalty For Incorrigible Sons

When I first came across this law, I initially thought, how can this law be good?

At first glance a person might think this law would be potentially dangerous for some son. But actually quite the opposite is true. God's Law provides four layers of protection for a son to not unrighteously lose his life...

Even later the Roman Empire gave fathers sole legal power of life or death over their children.

How did God’s Law elevated the woman and motherhood.

But all Marxist/Communist countries today as well as all Hindu and Muslim countries today have unjust laws and customs when it comes to the family...

If God’s Law were in place today endless innocent lives would be saved every day! All the humanistic ways people are trying to lower crime today is like what 19th century abolitionist, Henry David Thoreau said:

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root!"

The ONLY way to strike the root today...

God said - “When you go to war…” - not “if you go to war.”

Clearly God is NOT against ever going to war. There is just war and unjust war...

It’s amazing God’s attitude for young men compared to other nations oppressive self-serving civil laws. God did not want any young men to go to war if they just had:

* A new house

* Planted a new vineyard

* Were engaged to marry

* Were fainthearted

God is talking about two nations... He loved one and hated the other.
