- Joy = Security = EternityWhen churches become insecure by focusing more on the temporal than the eternal, Christians, non-believers, and our world become more insecure as well
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/12/joy-security-eternity/11 min - How Would Jesus Approach the 2024 Presidential Election? For Christians, the upcoming Presidential election should not be about Trump 2024 or Biden 2024, but Acts 20:24 – casting eternal votes through prayer, care, and share
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/11/how-would-jesus-approach-the-2024-presidential-election/12 min - The Custody Battle for America’s ChildrenWhen Christians cross lines in the sand, the world etches lines in stone. Churches clinging to custody of “customers” may soon cost Christians custody of children.
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/11/the-custody-battle-for-americas-children/13 min - The Lure of Transactional FaithEfforts by churches to accommodate consumers have contributed to the dilution of nearly every aspect of how Christians in America live out their faith
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/11/the-lure-of-transactional-faith/10 min - The Lure of Transactional CompassionAn entitlement mentality on the part of churchgoers breeds an entitlement mentality in the individuals they serve through offering handouts, not a hand up

https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/10/7-non-negotiables-for-church-engagement-in-compassion/11 min - Churches Can Facilitate or Impede TransformationChurches can facilitate or impede life and community transformation. Churches settling for superficial should repent of growth ambitions or survival instincts.
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/09/churches-can-facilitate-or-impede-transformation/12 min - What Does Transformation Look Like?Without convincing evidence of anything supernatural or transformative among churches and Christians, America is replacing our Savior with lesser “saviors”, trusting in governments rather than God
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/09/what-does-transformation-look-like/10 min - Knowledge to Revelation to TransformationPastors seek transformation of congregations and communities yet don’t push members hard enough to take steps of faith that lead to life-altering revelations
https://blog.meettheneed.org/2023/08/knowledge-to-revelation-to-transformation/12 min - 3 Stages of Biblical Transformation - a TestimonyOur favorite Bible stories all start with Knowledge, followed by Revelation, then Transformation – but today’s stories often end with Assimilation and Indoctrination

Listen as we unveil the root cause for the decline of the Church in America in growth, impact, influence, and public perception. Discover how reclaiming the biblical definition of "church" and its…
intended "customer" is the path to revitalization.
For years I was on the “fast track” – management consulting for Fortune 500 companies, investment banking on Wall Street, legislative aid on Capitol Hill, and MBA from the nation’s top business school. But all along I knew something was off. As a Christian, I wasn’t doing anything to serve God and others. My prayers for a mission and purpose grew more and more frequent.
Then, in 2000, it came – and be careful what you pray for. The Lord showed me that the same solutions I was bringing to large corporations were badly needed by the body of Christ. There were significant communication gaps in cities across the country between those in need and those who could help. So we invested the next two decades and millions bringing the first comprehensive solution from the business world to local missions – empowering churches to reach out to families desperately in need of help and hope.
Throughout that process, I wondered why the Church in America seemed to be struggling – in growth, impact, influence, and public perception. Being a consultant, I couldn’t help but look closer – and what I discovered was shocking. Contemporary church growth models aren't aligned with Scripture or the keys to success of any organization – defining the right customer. Members are the Church - Kingdom employees to equip and deploy to pursue the real "customer" (the lost and poor in our communities). Yet most implicitly treat churchgoers as consumers to attract and retain, a fact not lost on the intended "customer", who our churches largely ignore and neglect.
For the past 8 years, my biweekly blog has unpacked those misconceptions and plotted a path to biblically-based church reform...
