Welcome to Chronicles of Old Singapore. Dr Ho Nai Kiong studied at Yangzheng Primary School. His Mandarin was amusing at times because he used words translated from Cantonese. He wrote his new book on Chinatown because South Bridge Road is disappearing. He also remembers reading at Bras Basah Complex and the tasty food of Chinatown. He shares his thoughts on how Chinatown could be conserved.
