JJ's Album Club

After a long break, Jimi and Joey return for a new season of squabbling over what ratings to give recently released albums. This episode features a lengthy breakdown of ARCTIC MONKEYS surprising sixth record, praise for both COURTNEY BARNETT'S grungey return and PARQUET COURTS focused anger. And a difference of opinion over TOM MISCH. **Please rate, review and subscribe.**

It's a delayed 2018 kick-off for Jimi and Joey as they return to the rattly confines of the pod-kitchen. This month they discuss Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's leather-jacketed stasis, Shame's thrilling debut, N.E.R.D.'s confounding comeback album and (at last!) former EastEnders star Pam St Clement's relationship with their Kentish hometown. Please share, subscribe, rate and review!

Pour yourselves a massive Snowball and join Joey and Jimi as they discuss the latest vehicle for Morrissey’s Bad Opinions, Noel Gallagher’s dad-psych odyssey and Eminem’s continued struggle for relevance. They also run through their albums of the year, toast the joy of a nonsensical Christmas song and audibly dip their hands in a Ritz cracker box. Please rate, review and share!

Joey and Jimi return to chew over the efficient excellence of Beck's new album, Baxter Dury's dazzlingly weird mid-life crisis and Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile's decidedly laid-back love-in. They're also joined by comedian and actor Daniel Lawrence Taylor, who talks about creating ITV2's Timewasters, selects some evocative late-90s R&B and details his longstanding, and surprising, beef with Busta Rhymes. *Please subscribe, rate and recommend us to spread the word*

Jimi and Joey return with an interview with Lee Broadbent, frontman of politically-charged Mancunian agitators Cabbage. They also discuss Liam Gallagher's solo attempt to overcome his lyrical limitations, LCD Soundsystem's amazingly terrible retirement and have contrasting responses to Wolf Alice's second record. Oh, and there's a first listen (sort of) to Benjamin Clementine's change in direction. Please rate us and subscribe on iTunes and beyond.

Joey is back from the Edinburgh festival and so are we! This month we dive into new albums from Ghostpoet, Everything Everything, The War On Drugs and Juanita Stein. Plus there's lively debate about Arcade Fire's Everything Now and an exclusive peek into Win Butler's songbook. After a festival-induced hiatus, comedian Joey Page and journalist Jimi Famurewa return to chew over JAY-Z's confessional 4:44, Fleet Foxes long-awaited third record, Childhood's second album curveball and much, much more. Includes additional silliness and a visit from a guest with a suspiciously patchy accent.

Journalist Jimi Famurewa and idiot new music radio host Joey Page review some of the month's biggest new albums. Plus an interview with Smoke Fairies about Jack White, stalking Sheryl Crow and of course one of their favourite albums of all time, #Newmusic #album #Interview #SmokeFaires #review #Kasabian #PaulWeller #JHus #AlexandraSavoir
