JMPD wants investigation into arrest of officers by SAPS

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department, JMPD is calling for an immediate investigation into the arrest of seven of its officers by the South African Police Service during a vehicle recovery operation in Bekkersdal, Westrand. The JMPD claims the arrests were baseless and part of a disturbing pattern of interference and hostility. The department is demanding transparency and accountability, citing concerns over potential conflicts of interest and protection of criminal networks.
