Music & sound touches our soul in ways we can and can't explain. Today I'm talking a man who's moved many with the music that he makes, Allen Stone. Allen is a captivating musician and has been making music and touring for over a decade. During our talk, we explore the ego's role in being an entertainer and how to honor that part of ourself, but not let it take over. The ego is a very important part of us, but we work to find the balance of when and where the ego is needed. We may need the ego to give us the courage to step on a stage and feel that we have something to say, or contribute. But with that, we also need to be able to get out of our own ways and let the divine in. One of my favorite stories Allen shares is the saga of the hot boot and how the universe conspired in his favor to help him meet his wife. There is a power that art has on both the creator of the art and the person who consumes the art. Join me as I tip my hat, or man bun, to one of my favorite creators of art.
