Joan grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and her Mennonite upbringing created a heart for the world. She and her husband and three children lived in Indonesia for 13 years. Upon returning to the United States Joan taught English as a foreign language to adults in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania community. Currently, Joan is exploring new avenues of faith and volunteering at Lancaster city’s welcome desk for refugees and immigrants. In addition to enjoying biking with her husband, she adores her three adult children and loves spending time with her four grandchildren. She is who connected me with Brian McLaren and John Keane, of earlier episodes. We discuss her work with BioSpiritual Focusing and evolutionary spirituality.
