Hello to all my friends at Music Zone, I hope you're having a wonderful and productive week. This time, I want to share with you a cover I played on my electric guitar of a song by one of my favorite guitarists, Carlos Santana. The song, "Smooth," was written by Roberto Thomas, lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, who collaborated on lead vocals with Santana. It was released in March 1999 as the lead single from the album
Supernatural. I remember this song was a huge hit; MTV played the official music video several times a day, and I always wanted to learn the main guitar solo, which was somewhat similar to the one in "Corazón Espinado" by Maná. This song reached high positions on the charts in many countries. Twenty years after its release, "Smooth" holds the distinction of being the second most popular song of all time in the United States.
Hola a todos mis amigos y amigas de Music Zone, espero que estén estén pasando una excelente y productiva semana. En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes un cover en mi guitarra eléctrica de una canción de uno de mis guitarristas favoritos como lo es Carlos Santana. La canción Smooth interpretada fue escrita por Roberto Thomas vocalista del grupo Matchbox Twenty quien colabora en la voz principal junto a Santana y fue lanzada en Marzo del año 1999 como el principal sencillo del álbum Supernatural. Recuerdo que está canción fue todo unéxito, MTV pasaba el vídeo oficial del tema varias veces al día, y siempre quise aprenderme el solo de guitarra principal que tenía lgo similar al de Corazón Espinado de Maná. Está canción llegó a alcanzar altas posiciones en las listas de popularidad de muchos países. Veinte años después de su lanzamiento, "Smooth" es una canción qe tiene el estatus de ser la segunda canción más popular de todos los tiempos en Estados Unidos.
