  • #114 The Job Tale of a Diving Instructor - Perry Petropoulos

Welcome to Job Tales: the podcast where you listen to professional stories and find the job that suits YOU. Perry is more than just a diving instructor: he is a source of inspiration about life, work, entrepreneurship and courage.

Perry is 73 years old. He always loved the sea. He wanted to study oceanography, but it would take 12 years, so instead he took 1 year off to travel – Caribbean, South America…1 year became two years, then 3, then 10 years, living around the world. He started a first business in Jamaica. His second business was in Amsterdam, where he transported used cars to Syria. Once in Rhodes, he started a diving business and turned it into the biggest diving in Europe, 30 years ago. All of this doesn’t come out of thin air, it’s a process, it takes focus, you put your mind to it and don’t let side energy pull you left or right.
