This mantra episode is about taking 20 minutes.
When you get off work, I want you to give yourself a buffer. Twenty minutes to unwind. Twenty minutes to let the day go before jumping into everything else. Take your dog for a walk. Drive around a little longer. Sit quietly. Do whatever helps you decompress.
Even if you love your job — even if it lights you up — you still need personal time. That pause matters. It’s what allows you to walk through the door as you, not just the version of you that’s been giving all day.
Those 20 minutes help you show up more fully for your people, your animals, your family, and yourself. Instead of rushing into dinner, chores, and responsibilities, let yourself land first.
Your life is meant to be about connection, laughter, love, and memories. Giving yourself this small window of time creates space for all of that — and it often makes both your personal life and your work life feel better.
Take the 20 minutes. Let it go. Then begin again.
