Joe talks about his man crushes and how that pertains to SALES. Also, how to adopt a trait you don’t have by “borrowing” from characters around you. Finally he discusses that success can be achieved in many ways and that rarely is there ONE TRUE WAY.
Is there anything wrong with sales awards? What does swimming in the Pacific Ocean have to do with selling more STUFF?!? Prospects say one thing and then do another…how do I fix this? When was the last time you did something new and totally foreign? Something it was going to take years to become proficient in? If you are successful in business it’s likely that you are now NOT doing new things. And if you aren’t doing new things, you can’t lead others to do new and difficult things.
As a leader of others, it’s your JOB to do new and difficult and scary things. This requires NO talent. But it IS a skill you must never quit learning.
In this episode Joe talks about some of the misconceptions that people have around discipline and the fact they might have been disciplined “back in the day”. He also spends time discussing the fact that your talent isn’t likely to change…you are who you are, so double down on the things you are GOOD at.
Joe discusses his history in business so far, the ups and the downs and how he works with team and purpose and discipline to constantly improve both his life and business.
