Christians can go through so much trouble in their life because they allow their peace and joy to live inside other people's heads, meaning they believe that their life consists in what other people think about them. Jesus didnt focus on the critical opinions of others or on those who forsook Him, instead He praised and thanked God for those who were still with Him and moved on! 

So if you've had some "falling outs" with some folks, dont get stuck in the pain of that rejection and loss, instead put your faith in God and move on! When you thank God for what you do have, that will open the door for more of the right things to come into your life!
